Buckey Lasek's 2012 Suburu WRX STi

Buckey Lasek is best known for his skills on a skateboard and being an 18 time X Games Vert Medalist, however he is a man of many talents. Bucky has always had a passion for motorsports and after trying his hand with shifter carts at a local track and doing quite well, a friend of his suggested he pursue a racing career. Bucky began training and attending driving schools such as Skip Barber and Tim O'Niell's rally school. He moved quickly up through the ranks of competitive racing before making it into MMRP Mustang Challenge series in 2009 where he consistently placed in the top 2 of every race. Bucky eventually made his way onto the Puma/Subaru Global Rallycross team in 2012. After competitively driving a Subaru rallycross car, he decided to built a Subaru that he could enjoy on the street.

Bucky started with a bone stock 2012 Subaru WRX STi, but it wouldn't remain stock for very long. The car was taken to BBI Autosport where it underwent a transformation from stock to performance focused. The motor was built, full bolt on mods installed and it was tuned for both 91 octane and 100 octane race gas.

The car now performed beautifully, but it was missing a unique exterior look. The car was brought for some changes to be made. We began with a carbon fiber hood and trunk that we color matched and painted to the exterior color, but left parts of the carbon exposed for a unique look. We then proceeded to paint the front bumper, fog light covers and front grille. The finished product was clean, simple and offered a refreshing look.
